Adding another dimension to the static print medium, Layar Creator allows users to activate or create interactive digital content from such things as magazines. As the platform for augmented reality continues to grow, Layar has taken the application for a such a powerful mobile medium and incorporated features such as sharing and “liking” items that are of interest, turning motionless images into videos, the ability to download text straight from the physical copy and even purchasing items from a print catalog. Not bound to print magazines, Layar Creator can be applied to virtually all books, postcards, tags and packaging. Tacking visual details of specific objects through your mobile device’s camera, the program is able to digitally change the physical landscape on screen, increasing the engagement and interaction of the experience.
